Our dog of the month for July is Des

Des is a big handsome, very friendly boy who loves to greet everyone with a big waggy tail. He has settled well into his foster home with the two resident greyhounds, who he loves to play with. Des is a bit of a character who will lead from the front, he likes water and thinks nothing of going for a 'swim' which is unusual for a greyhound! He is a magnificent thief when it comes to food, nothing is too difficult to steal, this however is a fairly common trait in greyhounds. He also has a preference for sharing a bed with another dog, unfortunatley the other dogs don't always appreciate this! Des does not like being left on his own and will be better suited to someone who is at home most of the time, or a retired person. We think he will be quite happy as an only dog as long as he has plenty of human companionship as this is what he craves most. Des is not cat friendly.
